Give Thanks For Thanksgiving!

It's been a year since the last Thanksgiving, and now relatives can all come together to give thanks to everything that's happened in everyone's lives. Whether you believe in god or not, it's the time of the year for everyone to appreciate. It's not everyday that you get to be appreciated. One thing that everyone must look forward to on Thanksgiving is, clearly, the feasts!

Who has turkey for Thanksgiving? Everyone who knows how to celebrate of course --except for vegetarians and vegans! You walk into the dining room and you're met with a whole table of food! Pumpkins, stuffed turkey, sparkling juice, sweet corn, buttered potatoes, squash soup, cranberry sauce, casseroles, and the list goes on and on varying on the family. Oh my my, I can't believe I missed out the pumpkin pie! And of course, how will anything be eaten without a sprinkle of pumpkin spice?

In the first paragraph, I claimed that "it's the time of the year for everyone to appreciate." But in reality, wouldn't you agree with me if I said that Thanksgiving really isn't one day, it's every day. Yes, that means you should be appreciating tomorrow as well. In fact, for the rest of your life, if you will. If you think about it, Thanksgiving Day isn't really a holiday, it's really just a day to remind you that Thanksgiving is everyday. A day in the year that lets you celebrate thanks, to be thankful that you are able to appreciate.

In Canada, it's the third Monday of October, but in USA it's the fourth Thursday of November. It doesn't matter when or where you celebrate Thanksgiving, whether you decide to celebrate a month after the traditional date or whenever. After all, the point is to just celebrate and remember to give thanks to everyone that's taken part in your life.

If you decide to really celebrate this day, you would check out all the parades and festivals happening around your area. Parades, parties, programs, festivities... Many people decide to go far and visit distant relatives over the weekends and be able to appreciate their company. Personally, I don't have to go very far, having seven other relatives in the house at all times allows me to stay nice and cozy in my home while feasting up on some turkey with gravy along with my big family. On the other hand, my mother has decide to take two weeks off to take a trip to China and visit her mother. Especially since she hasn't seen her virtually in quite a while.

It'll be another year before we get to celebrate this day again. So enjoy it while it's here, and make sure to give thanks, celebrate, and feast! Happy Thanksgiving Canada! Make sure not to spoil all the celebration and fun for the Americans!;)
